Malka Penn Children's Book Collection on Human RightsMichele Palmer of Storrs, Connecticut, has established the Malka Penn Children's Book Collection on Human Rights as part of the Northeast Children's Literature Collection at the Thomas J. Dodd Research Center. The books address issues such as racism and prejudice, war and conflict, and the Holocaust, and include picture books, young adult novels and non-fiction. A part of each year's donation is displayed in the John McDonald Reading Room and represent the best for their publication year. "A Celebration of Anita Riggio"The Papers of Anita Riggio will be featured in the Dodd Center gallery from October 19 to December 18, 2009. This is the inaugural exhibit in the Roger L. Crossgrove Exhibit Series. |
